The Leaky Cauldron

A tiny, grubby pub and inn on Charing Cross Road, a book shop on one side and a record shop on the other. It is invisible to muggles and is dark and shabby inside. A corridor leads from the bar to the private back parlor, sometimes used for dining. There is a small, weed-infested courtyard behind the pub that is the hiding place for the entrance to Diagon Alley. A narrow staircase leads to the Leaky Cauldron's guest rooms, and they are tended to by the innkeeper, Tom, who is stooping, bald, and toothless, and resembles a "gummy walnut".

Diagon Alley

Diagon Alley is in the heart of London, and is accessed through the walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron. Tapping the third brick from the left aboce the dustbin with your wand will cause the bricks to rearrange themselves and create a temporary archway to a long, twisting cobblestone street full of different Wizarding Shops.

Flourish & Blotts

The shelves of this huge bookstore are stacked to the ceiling with leather-bound books as large as paving stones, silk-covered books the size of postage stamps, invisible books, biting books, books full of bizarre symbols, and books with nothing in them at all. You can get anything here, including the books needed for a new term at Hogwarts.

Magical Menagerie

A noisy, smelly shop that is crammed full of cages, baskets, and tanks holding a wide range of creatures; giant purple toads, black rats, an enormous tortoise with a jewel-covered shell, poisonous orange snails, ravens, a rabbit that changes into a top hat, double-ended newts, strange custard-colored huming furballs, and cats of every color.

Ollivander's

A little shabby, Ollivander's had peeling golden letters on its door and a single wand on a purple cushion in the window. It is tiny, dusty, and silent inside, making it feel like a very strict library. There are thousands of narrow wand boxes piled neatly up to the ceiling, and the shop seems to tingle with magic. Ollivander himself is a soft-spoken elderly wizard with wide, pale, silvery eyes and long fingers, along with a slightly creepy air about him. He can remember every single wand he has ever sold.

Hogsmeade

Hogsmeade is the only all-wizard settlement in Britian, and had a lot of interesting shops where strange magical beings can occasionally be found. In winter, it looks like the scenes you see on Christmas cards, featuring snow-covered thatched cottages with wreaths on the doors and tres covered in enchanted candles. Hogsmeade is located at the foot of a mountain and is surrounded by wild countryside and winding lanes. The road to Hogsmeade is to the left on the way out of Hogwarts and curves around the Hogwarts lake.
